On Tuesday 13th February Burgess Hill Youth Members from both the Junior and Senior club played in a football tournament in Worthing. They played other teams from all over the county. The event was organised and run by Albion and the Community. All the members had a very enjoyable day, even though the weather wasn’t great.
They also had the opportunity to have a picture with Brighton & Hove Albion player Pascal Gross.
Every Monday and Wednesday (term time only) a football coach from Albion and the Community comes to Burgess Hill Youth and coach’s all interested members.
Burgess Hill Youth took 11 Young Carers to Horsham Ice Rink for skating followed by a hot dog and hot chocolate on 21/12/17. Chocolates were kindly provided by CT Radmalls Funeral Directors. The event was supported by the Town Council.
43 young carers were booked to attend a Fun Day on Tuesday 25 October and enjoyed activities including arts, crafts, cake making and decorating, sports, radio remote controlled cars and a photo booth activity. Pictures of the event were posted on the BHY Facebook page.
The event was led by Burgess Hill Youth volunteers with the support of the Town Council, Crossroads for Carers South Central and Mid Sussex Active. St Paul’s Catholic College provided the venue and lunch free of charge to all those involved.

Burgess Hill District Lions hosted a fundraiser for Burgess Hill Youth on Saturday 3 September at the Martlets Hall. Chicory Tip, a fantastic band from the 70’s, provided entertainment from 8pm through to 11pm – the dance floor was packed!!
£1770 was the figure raised over the night from ticket and raffle ticket sales. Steve Willis Training kindly sponsored the event ensuring all funds raised went directly to Burgess Hill Youth. The local community kindly supported the event by attending and special thanks must be given to the following generous donators of raffle prizes:

45 young carers attended the young carers event led by Burgess Hill Youth and Burgess Hill Town Council at St Paul’s Catholic College on Tuesday.
4 new young carers attended and this was the 28th event to be held.
Funding for the event was provided by Carers UK and support was provided on the day by support from volunteers from Burgess Hill Youth and 3 young volunteers from Outset Youth Action.
The young carers enjoyed t-shirt making, arts and crafts with support from Bank of New York, bush crafts activities including cooking and fire making, cake making and decorating, a steel drum activity plus sports.
