Burgess Hill District Lions are proud to say they have been involved with Burgess Hill Youth (formerly BH Boys’ Club) since 1959. Under a scheme set up by Lions Clubs of UK & Ireland the Lions Club of Burgess Hill District have now adopted Burgess Hill Youth.
Steve Willis became involved with Burgess Hill Youth in 2011 when it was formerly Burgess Hill Boys Club. Burgess Hill District Lions had appealed for a local business to sponsor a Chicory Tip Concert of 60/70’s music, with all proceeds to benefit the Boys Club. Steve stepped forward to sponsor the annual event and the Lions Club introduced a new category in the Apprentice Presentation night for the apprentice who has risen to the biggest challenge over the course of the year. Steve used to attend the club as a youngster so it is extra special now that he has made Burgess Hill Youth his charity.
